PIFLab | Dactyl keyboard
We are launching a group DIY mechanical keyboard project, the making of dactyl keyboard, which is under afero GPL 3.0 license. Dactyl is an ergonomic, concave, split mechanical keyboard. The project activities will consist of the frame 3d printing, installing and connecting keys and reprograming of teensy. We will probably spend some time prototyping.
On our first meeting, which will be held on the 19th of January in Osmo/za, we will make a list of things we need and order the material. Expenses might add up, but will be somewhat lowered by the firm Tipro, which produces industrial keyboards. They will provide some keys and advice.

The project is initiated by Lio Novelli and Luka Frelih.
A reoccurring series of Ljudmila's evening events and meet ups called PifLab stands for sharing knowledge, experiences and ideas in the fields of DIY, DITO, open source, creativity and new media. PifLab or just „open Fridays“ is here for all the amateur and professional makers and developers with an idea or just a strong wish, but without sufficient technological skills and equipment. Don't expect a serious workshop with mentors – it's an open event, you have to participate by yourself and work within a group, rather than just follow someone's instructions. Ljudmila will only open its Lab doors wide enough, so anybody can join!
